SARGODHA: Police have arrested a drug smuggler and recovered a heavy quantity of hashish. Sources said that in an ongoing drive against drug pushers and weapon smugglers, Sahiwal police stopped a motorcyclist and recovered 7kg of hashish that were hidden under his seat.
Police arrested the man, Tahir Gull, a resident of Shahpur Mumtaz Colony in Gujranwala. During preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed that the narcotics were being smuggled from Peshawar, for which he was given Rs 15,000. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
